Wellness Program
The County’s Wellness Program helps employees become more aware of their current health status and take steps to maintain and/or improve it. Participating in screenings provides direct financial benefit to employees by reducing the contribution amount they are required to make to the Health Plan, reducing their annual deductible, and reducing their out-of-pocket maximum. The County has chosen the Wellness Department of St. Peter’s Hospital to help administer the wellness screening process, track incentives earned, and offer services that will provide employees and health plan members the opportunity to improve their health status.
Wellness Incentives — HDHP A one-time $50 contribution to the employee’s HSA will be deposited the first pay date of July for participants in the spring screening, or in January for participants in the fall screening. Additionally, a one-time $50 contribution to the employee’s HSA will be deposited the first pay date in July or January, depending on the hire date and date of participation, for an enrolled spouse’s participation. Employees can only receive these contributions once per plan year.
Wellness Incentives — Traditional Plan Employee Contribution Credit • $25/mo reduction in premiums for screening process participation • $5/mo reduction in premiums for each criterion or alternative met Deductible Reduction (applies to spring screenings only) • $20 reduction in the annual PPO deductible for each criterion or alternative met (reduction applies to all enrolled dependents) Out-of-Pocket Reduction (applies to spring screening only) • $100 reduction in the annual out-of-pocket maximum for each criterion or alternative met (reduction applies to all enrolled dependents)
